GUEST REVIEWS

An amazing escape from the city!!!
This is the 2nd year we stayed at the Dakota Lodge with 3 other families. The views are breath taking and serene and the house is peaceful. The house comfortably accommodates everyone and gives the grown ups some quiet while the kids play in the basement. There’s plenty of skiing near by and a chance to relax for those not hitting the slopes. Rickie takes time to show you the ins and outs of the home and is always willing to help and answer questions. We’ve really enjoyed the trips and hope to keep them going!

Well if I could be so lucky to wake up to the views that this Lodge holds, I would be so happy! From the request for the lodge to the end, it was smooth sailing. My request was replied to immediately, efficiently, and friendly. The owner of this house is very protective of it and she should be! It is perfectly situated in what seems the middle of nowhere, but actually 10 minutes from Bridgton, ME and sits right on top of a hill that overlooks a panoramic view of the mountains and lakes of beautiful Maine. The very spacious living room of the lodge gave us the opportunity to be together, sit by the fire, and share memories in an intimate and warm setting. The lodge is very well thought out. It has an amazing working kitchen, plenty of space in each bedroom, large bathrooms, closets, etc. The owner was very thorough in her explanation of the house when I arrived and spent a good amount of time with me as I asked all my questions. There were instructions for everything and a great guide pack on the kitchen counter to give us plenty of clarity and information. We were there this winter and could only imagine what it would be like to be around for the summer to enjoy all of the beauty of the terraces and the fire pit. Way to go Dakota Bear Lodge!
You sure have one special place!

Amazing Views
My family recently planned a trip up to Maine with some friends and extended family. What can I say? This was the best home we have ever rented on one of our trips. I cannot say enough about how comfortable and spacious the Lodge was for our family.  There is literally nothing about this home I would complain about. Every detail is well thought out and mapped out to perfection. All of the rooms are very comfortable and well kept. There are some really nice golf course, boating and swimming areas, and restaurants in the area that are nearby. And let me tell you, the view from this Lodge is breathtaking. I would recommend a vacation here to anyone.
